Katestone and Weather Intelligence BeefEx Expo 2022 Prize Draw (“Promotion”) Terms and Conditions

1. Trader name and address

Katestone Environmental Pty Ltd (ABN 92 097 270 276) of 16 Marie Street, Milton, QLD (the Promoter).

2. Who may enter and method of entry

Entry is only open to respondents who:

• Attended the 2022 BeefEx in Brisbane
• scan the QR code displayed on the trading booth and complete all the fields of the https://weatherintelligence.global/contact-us/ webpage during the two days of the BeefEX 202 conference;
• provided a valid email address or phone number for contact purposes.

Neither the Promotion nor the awarding of the prize is open to:

• employees of the Promoter and its subsidiaries;
• parties to whom the Promoter has contracted work in relation to the Promotion;
• parties who are otherwise directly involved with this Promotion; or
• any immediate family member of the above-mentioned parties.

3. Duration of entry period

The entry period for the prize draw is from Wednesday 19 October 8 am AEST to Thursday 20 October 5 pm AEST, 2022.

4. Details of prizes and prize values

The first entry drawn will receive an Apple iPad worth $500.00, offered by Katestone and Weather Intelligence. 

If the winner of the prize draw is under 18 years of age or is unable to provide proof of age as 18 years or older, the prize will be given in consultation with the winner’s parent or guardian.

5. Date, time and place of draw

The prize draw will be conducted at 11 am AEST Monday 24 October 2022.  All draws will be conducted at the Katestone headquarters 16 Marie Street, Milton, Brisbane City QLD 4064.  

Winners will be identified through a random computer-generated draw.

6. Publication of winner names

The winners will be notified by phone, email or text message within three (3) business days of the drawing.  

7. Unclaimed prize draw

Winners must claim their prize and confirm contact details by return email within three (3) days of the date of notification.  Prizes will be delivered to winners within 2 weeks of the date of claim. In the event that a winner has not validly claimed their prize within three (3) months of the date of notification, that prize will be forfeited and no compensation will be payable.  Prizes that have not been claimed within three (3) months of the date of notification will be re-judged at 10 am AEST on Friday 27 January 2023 at the Katestone headquarters 16 Marie Street, Milton, Brisbane City QLD 4064. The new winner will be notified by email within three (3) business days of the drawing.

8. Cost

There is no cost or fee to enter the Promotion.

9. Exclusion of Liability

(a) To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained by any Participant or any other person including but not limited to consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omissions, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter or its employees or its contractors or its agents in connection with supply of the prizes awarded to the prize winners.

(b) The Promoter’s decision on all matters pertaining to this Promotion will be final.

(c) The Promoter is under no obligation to provide reasons for any of its decisions.

(d) The Promoter is under no obligation to engage in any form of correspondence whatsoever with Participants or their representatives in matters relating to the Promotion.

(e) A prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied.

(f) A winner may be liable to declare a prize for tax purposes.  The Promoter takes no responsibility for any tax payable on a prize.  If any tax is payable on a prize, it is the sole responsibility of the winner.  Independent financial advice should be sought.

(g) The Promoter accepts no responsibility if the prizes are lost, stolen, damaged or tampered with in any way.

(h) The Promoter does not take responsibility for misdirected mail or mail received late and the Promoter will not be liable for any loss resulting from transit of prizes.

10. Privacy

The Promoter collects personal information from all Participants in order to complete this prize draw.  If the requested information is not provided, the Participant will not be eligible to participate in the prize draw or to claim a prize and their entry may be discarded.

11. Inconsistency 

To the extent that there is any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any other published material, these terms and conditions will prevail.  

12. Acknowledgement

By participating in the draw, each Participant acknowledges that these terms and conditions are legally binding.

13. Media Consent and Privacy  

Entrants’ personal information will be collected by Katestone and Weather Intelligence so that they can contact the prize winner. Katestone and Weather Intelligence may use an Entrant’s information to send them information about programs, products, services, fundraising or other activities which they think may interest them.  By providing information to Katestone and Weather Intelligence, entrants consent to their information being used for this purpose and for business development and marketing purposes.   If Entrants wish to unsubscribe they should email Katestone at admin@katestone.com.au or call Katestone on 07 3369 3699.
